Hi Barbara, Gary, and All,

For others who might be recent additions to the group, I'm aware that
several are working on developing the workforce-related preconference
idea that generated here on this list. I'm really excited by this idea
and glad to know things are moving ahead. Maybe Donna or another could
give us an update.

I also think this is an excellent example of an activity in which a
community of practice (CoP) might engage. I'm wondering though, if we
are a community (or communities) of practice -- then what's our vision
for that? For this list? What overall contribution or impact do we hope
to make? If we were to articulate that collaboratively, what points
might that vision include?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on that.

Thanks -

Jackie Taylor

Donna, I use the list serv as a means of keeping abreast of new
resources,
websites, etc. as well as best practices that might be shared with folks

here in Texas. Let's keep it going! I do have one question for you:
what's the latest on the workforce-related preconference for COABE this
coming year? Haven't heard anything in a while.
