Join a select group of executive and senior management professionals from New York City's community-based organizations, public agencies and educational institutions in the 2008 Workforce Leaders Academy <http://www.ppv.org/ppv/workforce_leaders_academy/workforce_leaders_academy.asp?section_id=0⊂_section_id=32> . The Academy is a peer-learning community engaging New York City senior practitioners in a combination of retreats, seminars and action-based projects. It provides opportunities for learning, reflection and exposure to prominent leaders from around the country who are advancing the workforce development field. Members work together to examine: * Labor markets and the economy; * Workforce research and policy; * Program strategies for serving disconnected young adults; * Adaptive leadership; and * Other topics in workforce development. > NEW for 2008! P/PV is proud to partner with JobsFirst NYC—the intermediary organization established to champion the workforce needs of disconnected young adults in the city—and the NYC Workforce Investment Board. This year's Academy is seeking members who are particularly interested in the employment of disconnected young adults. The Academy will be held from April 2008 through March 2009.
