Hello Daphne,
I am very happy about the discussion. People need to discourse issues freely without fear or favour. We are all God's creation and God serves and cares for us all irrespective of our faith; whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc. It is a question of interdependence which I suppose is an integral component of diversity. I do appreciate all people and I occasionally share my best feelings and wishes especially during festive seasons. Indeed I usually send the same to my Christian brothers and sisters during Christmas and other special occasions. I therefore appreciate this discussion and would no doubt welcome comments, criticisms and various view points. It helps us see the good beyond our different perspectives. Best wishes,
Ochieng M.K

Ochieng,
I hope that you are comfortable with the discussion that I started on the
Diversity and Literacy list. Just like I believe your voice is an important one
and should be heard, I think that Kearney's voice needs to be heard. I
explained why I thought that your post was a valuable one, but also tried to see
it from his perspective and think what he might have found objectionable. I then
decided to ask the list members to react-it will be important to hear what they
have to say. It will also be interesting to see what they have to say about the
Christian example I gave. Of course, no one may react, or there may be very
lively discussion. Time will tell.
Daphne
