For those of you interested in websites for working moms, here are a
few:

www.mothersandmore.org
This website connects mothers to each other in order to provide support
for those balancing work and family life.

www.mothersmovement.org/index.htm
This website gives mothers an avenue to write about social, economic,
and political issues affecting mothers.

www.mothersoughttohaveequalrights.org
This website promotes the fact that: "correcting the economic
disadvantages facing caregivers is the big unfinished business of the
women's movement."

It would seem to me that in programs that have Internet access, it would
be great to share with learners the existence of websites such as those
mentioned above. Depending on the level of the learner, it may serve the
purpose of teaching learners about the variety of resources available,
for others it can serve as a way to practice web navigation, others can
use it to practice reading, and yet others for writing skills.
